Technical Information

The DICOM format is the only format accepted for X-ray files uploaded.

As regards to endoscopic videos, every video uploaded must be readable by the software VLC.

In case of veterinary certificate, the PDF format is the only accepted.

Microsoft Windows is necessary for the set-up and use of Keystone Community.

Asteris Keystone is also accessible for MAC users, running Bootcamp/Windows.

Without Windows, MAC users can however consult online studies for horses in training sales.

An Internet Connexion of 1.5 Mbit/s (download) and of 512 Kbit/s (upload) is recommended to upload and consult studies on line.

Online

In order to upload a study online of catalogued horses, you can click on the link below. It will allow you to download the Keystone Community software and upload veterinary studies on the Arqana Repository.

Download Keystone Community

A computer equipped with Microsoft Windows and supporting Microsoft.Net is required for the set-up of the software needed for the uploading.

At the premises

It is also possible to upload studies directly from the Arqana premises in Deauville on appointment before the end of the time allowed for uploading. In order to do so, please ask for an appointment: repository@arqana.com

Please make sure before submitting, that every study includes an endoscopic video and at least the minimum number of views required by the veterinary protocol advised for the sale at which the horse is entered.

A study which does not include the endoscopic video or that misses some x-rays cannot be submitted on the repository.

View Recognition

Asteris Keystone software includes an automatic view recognition system based on the DICOM tags of each X-ray file.

Thus, the DICOM tag must refer for each view, the name of the joint, its side (left/right) and the name of the view.A recommended list of DICOM tags for each view is accessible on the veterinary protocol document for each sale.

However, because of discrepancies in settings and labelling, the software might not be able to recognise all or part of the views submitted.

In this case, it is up to the veterinary surgeon to place manually (click and drag) each unrecognised view in the corresponding slots.

If consistently, some or all of the views are not recognised by the software, it is advised for the veterinary surgeon to contact Asteris in order to identify the problem (Contact Asteris).

On-line Viewing

Studies can be viewed on-line for registered veterinary surgeons, only for horses in training sales. Viewing is activated in this case at the arrival of horses at the sales' complex.

Internet Explorer 10 or 11 is strongly recommended to use on-line viewing.
