LOT 240
€210,000 for a son of Lope De Vega

Hosting the continuation of Part 1 of the catalogue, the second day of the October Yearling Sale began this afternoon. One of the first lots to go into the ring, a son of Lope De Vega out of Listed winner CHERRY LADY, was knocked down for €210,000. Bidding by telephone, English agent Anthony Stroud had the last word for the grandson of Group winner CHERRY DANON that was also placed in the German 1,000 Guineas (Gr.2). Offered by the Haras d'Etreham, the colt hails from the German maternal line of SHONA from which Group 1 winners SIRIUS and SANAGAS are notably descended.
