LOT 75
Maxios colt sells to BBA Ireland for €150,000

A colt from the first crop of Gestüt Fährhof's Maxios caused a spirited bidding battle that ended in favour of BBA Ireland, with Eamon Reilly signing the docket at €150,000. The brown colt offered by Haras d'Ombreville is out of the German Stakes-placed Hernando mare La Hermana, who has already produced two black type winners. The family traced back to La Colorada, the dam of Champion three-year-old Lomitas.

He is for an Irish owner who will retain him to race, explained Reilly. Jim Bolger will probably end up training him. We like the sire, and liked the foal as an individual.
