The first mixed sale of the season at the Elie de Brignac complex, the February Sale began on Tuesday with the first day reserved for horses-in-training on the flat and over jumps, stores, two-year-olds and the first half of the breeding section. Eagerly awaited in the ring, Prix du Petit Couvert (Gr.3) scorer AIR DE VALSE was knocked down for €240,000 to  Bridge Consignment. Group-placed on several occasions including when runner up in the Prix de L’abbaye de Longchamp (Gr.1), the Corine Barande-Barde-trained mare has a current rating of 101.

Accompanying the entourage, Jérôme Glandais, Manager of Haras du Logis Saint-Germain said, 

She’s been bought for Mr. Benaroussi, who continues his investment for breeding. For the moment we haven’t decided what stallion she will go to or where she will be boarded.
