A solid first session of the 2015 Breeding Stock Sale saw a wide range of buyers from Australia, America, Japan, the Middle East and all around Europe gather around the Deauville sales ring in an attempt to secure some fillies, mares and foals carrying the finest French bloodlines. With a catalogue featuring 17 lots less than last year for the same session, turnover for the 148 horses to change hands reached €15,349,000, 5% down from 2014, but the average price of €103,709 was marginally up and the clearance rate progressed by 2 points to 78.3%. The median remained virtually stable at €69,000.
