On a marathon day of trade in Deauville, 81.7% of the 280 broodmares, fillies and foals on offer sold, a clearance rate improved by more than three points from the same session last year. Turnover for this second session reached €6,028,500, slightly down from last year. The average price slipped 4.6% at €26,325 while the median increased by 5% to reach €21,000. International buyers remained busy alongside their French counterparts, with investments coming from Australia, America, Turkey, Great Britain, Ireland, Eastern and continental Europe as well as Mediterranean countries.
