Richard Venn went to 54,000 for Ardissone, a Martaline half-sister to the evergreen Al Ferof, the impressive winner of the Gr.2 Peterborough Chase last Saturday. Now aged nine, this mare was herself Listed placed over hurdles at Auteuil and was offered in foal to leading NH sire Kapgarde, who was responsible for this year's champion chaser Milord Thomas, who achieved the rare Grande Steeple Chase de Paris-Prix La Haye Jousselin double.

She is for Nigel and Sarah Faulks, stated the agent. She is a gorgeous mare who benefited from a big update with Al Ferof winning the Peterborough Chase. Hopefully he will win the King George! I am also a big fan of Kapgarde. She will head to the UK to foal down but may return to France to be covered.
