LOT 292&291
A son of Dubawi knocked down for €2 million

The auditorium was buzzing for the turn of the eagerly awaited son of Dubawi out of Prix Minerve (Gr.3) scorer GOLDEN VALENTINE in the ring, consigned by Ecurie des Monceaux. Anthony Stroud, bidding for Godolphin, had the final say at €2 million following a long bidding war for the grandson of GOLD ROUND, that was also a group winner from the excellent family of  GOLDIKOVA.

Hes an exceptional colt and a son of Dubawi, said Anthony Stroud. The whole team loved him - he was the horse of the sale for us - were delighted.

Just a few minutes earlier, the agent also signed the docket at €575,000 for a son of Lope De Vega (lot 291) from Haras du Cadran. The blue-blooded colt is a grandson of Group 1 winner GREY LILAS and is out of a sister to Classic winner GOLDEN LILAC and Group winner GREY LYON.

Hes a lovely colt that walks very well, said the agent. She is out of a daughter of Galileo from a great stud. We’re really happy to have got him.
