The young stallion Spanish Moon, a former winner of the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud whose first crop are currently three-year-olds, was hammered down to Nicolo Riva of European Bloodstock Management for €120,000. The son of El Prado was bred and raced by Juddmonte Farms but his future lies as a jumps sire, as revealed Riva.

I have bought him for a syndicate and we need to get together and decide where we stand him. He won't stand at [the Riva family's] Haras du Thenney as he is at 100% a NH sire. It was important that he remained in France as we need some young jumps sires.
