Consigned by Haras d’Etreham, a son of New Bay was knocked down for €140,000 to Tally Ho Stud. The well-bred colt is out of a half-sister to Group winner and Cheveley Park Stakes (Gr.1) placed RIMTH from the family of DOMINICA and CLASSIC BLADE.
Offered in foal to Victor Ludorum by Sumbe, the black-type FRANKEL’S MAGIC was knocked down for €165,000 in favour of David Redvers. The blue-blooded daughter of Frankel out of the black-type GLOBAL MAGIC hails from the family of Group winners GLOBAL DREAM, GLOBAL THRILL, GOATHEMALA, GEOGRAPHY and PATRICK SARSFIELD.
Fourth in the Prix Hérod (L.) following the publication of the catalogue, the Nicolas Perret trained HOSHIANA was subject to a lot of interest around the ring. Bidding on behalf of Repole Stable, Alex Solis and Jason Litt had the final say at €220,000 for the filly, a two year old by Dabirsim out of a half-sister to Group winner and Group 1 placed DIFFERENT LEAGUE and the family of Group winner and Group 1 placed CARROWKEEL.

Just a couple of lots later, bidding reached €125,000 for a son of Lope De Vega from Haras de Grandcamp. Canirola Bloodstock signed the docket for the half-brother to Groupe ROCK BOY and Group placed ALASTOR from the family of Group 1 winner and multiple Group scorer CASTILLA.
Prix d’Aumale (Gr.3) winner GHERDAIYA, the dam of the black-type performer SUBAHIYAH, was offered in foal to Little Big Bear by Haras de Bouquetot. Bidding online, Alex Solis and Jason Litt had the final say at €170,000 for the daughter of Shamardal out of Listed winner FIRST FLEET. The mare is a half-sister to triple Group winner FRENCH NAVY and a half-sister to Group scorer SEA LORD from the family of Group 1 winner ASSATIS.
Consigned by La Motteraye Consignment, a daughter of Mehmas was knocked down for €110,000 in favour of Marc Antoine Berghgracht. The well-bred filly hails from the family of Group 1 winners WEMYSS BIGHT, BEAT HOLLOW, NEW BAY and KINGMAN.
Offered carrying her first foal to Pinatubo by Barton Stud, KENSINGTON was subject to a lot of interest around the ring. It was Crispin de Moubray, standing beside Willie Carson, had the final say at €200,000 for the daughter of Frankel. The well bred filly is a granddaughter of Group 1 winner ISLINGTON hails from the family of Group 1 winners HELLENIC, GREEK DANCE, MOUNTAIN HIGH and FIORENTE.

Just afterwards, the gavel fell at €120,000 in favour of Emmanuel de Seroux (Narvick International), bidding on behalf of Katsumi Yoshida, for a daughter of Pinatubo. Consigned by Haras du Hoguenet, the filly is out of the black-type mare ZYLPHA from the family of Group scorers ZINZIBERINE, ZANZIBARI and TXOPE as well as this season’s dual Group scorer ZULU KINGDOM.

Very active during the session, Alex Solis and Jason Litt went to €610,000 for Grand Prix de Fontainebleau (L.) winner SOME SKYE. Consigned by Haras des Capucines, the three-year-old daughter of Churchill has a current rating of 99 and is out of the black-type mare SOME SPIRIT from the family of Group 1 scorers DIKTAT, PARK APPEAL and CAPE CROSS.
The auditorium was buzzing with the entrance of SPARKLING PLENTY into the ring, the best three-year-old filly to be offered at public auction in Europe this year. Consigned by Haras de Bouquetot, the filly was unbeaten in two starts at two before impressive wins in the Prix Sandringham (Gr.2) and then in the Prix de Diane Longines (Gr.1) at three, where she beat the excellent TAMFANA and the talented AVENTURE. Capable of running over a range of distances, she most recently finished third in the Prix de l’Opéra (Gr.1) Longines.
It was Michel Zerolo (Oceanic Bloodstock) that had the final say for the filly at €5 million when signing the docket on behalf of M.V. Magnier and partners. The blue-blooded daughter of Kingman, with a current rating of 115 out of a dam by Frankel and hails from the close family of STACELITA, also the winner fo the Prix de Diane (Gr.1) before becoming an exceptional broodmare in Japan, as well as SAUTERNE, the winner of the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp (Gr.1).

Consigned by Gestüt Etzean and in foal to Soldier Hollow, TRES MAGNIFIQUE, the dam of the very talented TAMFANA, herself by the late Gestüt Park Wiedingen sire and the recent winner of the Sun Chariot Stakes (Gr.1), was subject to interest from a lot of different buyers around the ring. I’m looking for horses to race at Keeneland as it is a bit different track from the rest of the United States because of its soft to heavy ground, which doesn’t necessarily suit American horses, said John Stewart.
