Consigned by Leamore Horses, a son of Bolt d’Oro was knocked down for €400,000 in favour of Anthony Stroud. The well-bred colt is out of a sister to Group winner SHUMOOS from the family of dual Group winner STRATEGIC MANEUVER and the winners CAT FIGHTER, ISHIGURU and JENNIFER LYNNETTE.

€550,000 for a son of Blue Point

Very active around the ring, Richard Brown (Blandford Bloodstock) went this time to €550,000 for a son of Blue Point out of the black-type MAGGIES ANGEL. Consigned by Mocklershill, the colt hails from the family of Group 1 winners SVELT and RAKTI as well as Group scorers GOLDEN NUN and SMAGETA.

LOT 110
Son of Justify makes €2,3 million to Godolphin

The ring was packed for the turn of an eagerly awaited son of Justify out of Group placed INCHARGEOFME, consigned by Oak Tree Farm. Following a long bidding war between M. V Magnier (Coolmore) and Anthony Stroud in company with Charlie Appleby and David Loder, the latter had the final say at €2,3 million for the colt from the excellent family of Group 1 winners MISS KELLER, HARBOUR LAW and POET’S WORD.

After signing the docket, he said:

He’s a lovely horse. We really liked his breeze on Thursday and we really wanted to bring him back to Moulton Paddocks. He sire, Justify, has very good results and he’s a remarkable stallion. We’re very happy.

LOT 62
Son of Justify for Amo Racing

Eagerly awaited in the ring, a son of Justify was subject to a long bidding war in which Alex Elliott, acting on behalf of Amo Racing, came out on top for €1 million. Consigned by Lynn Lodge Stud, the colt is out of CURLYLOCKS, a sister to the excellent racehorse and Coolmore sire CHURCHILL, as well as Group 1 scorer CLEMMIE. The well-bred colt hails from the family of the Group 1 winners AIRWAVE, DREAM OF DREAMS and JWALA.

He’s a lovely colt that ticks all the boxes, said Alex Elliott. He breezed really well and his dam is a sister to Churchill. His sire Justify has exceptional results. I’ve bought him for Amo Racing. We don’t have a trainer in mind for him yet. We’re very happy, and we hope he’ll be as good as he appears to be!

LOT 55
Son of No This Time for Amo Racing

After signing the docket for a son of Mckinzie a little earlier, Richard Brown ( Blandford Bloodstock) went to €400,000 for a son of No This Time. Consigned by Gaybrook Lodge, the colt hails from the family of Group 1 winner BIANCA NERA, POSTPONED, GID GIVEN, SIMPLY PERFECT and the talented GALE FORCE TEN, PICKLE, TURNING TOP, SILVER KNOTT and ROBIN HOODS BAY.

He’s a fantastic looking colt, said Richard Brown. There is everything to like about him, he’s by a well-known stallion and has a great pedigree. I really liked his breeze on Thursday where he cantered in great style and was fast. He’ll come to Newmarket and we’ll decide on his trainer a little later.

LOT 46
Daughter of Too Darn Hot makes €400,000

A few minutes later, the gavel fell at €400,000 for a daughter of Too Darn Hot consigned by Bloodstock Connection. It was trainer Fabrice Chappet that had the final say for the filly from the close family of Group 1 winners MEDITATE, MOST IMPROVED and ECTOT, as well as the Group winners JOHNNY BARNES, ALBISOLA, LISMORE etc.

LOT 40
€650,000 for a half-brother to multiple Group 1 winner UP TO THE MARK

Potential buyers were once again crowded around the ring for the turn of a half-brother to mutliple Group 1 winner UP TO THE MARK to go under the hammer. Richard Brown (Blandford Bloodstock) had the final say at €650,000 for the well bred colt, that is by the young sire Mckinzie and a grandson of Grade 1 winner CAPOTE BELLE.

Daughter of Too Darn Hot for AMO Racing

A few minutes later, a daughter of Too Darn Hot, consigned by Powerstown Stud, was knocked down for €800,000. Bidding on behalf of AMO Racing, Robson Aguiar signed the docket for the granddaughter of Matron Stakes (Gr.1) winner EMULOUS, from the family of Group 1 winner MANDALOUN and Group winners FIRST SITTING, BROOCH, ALOUNAK ans QUEEN OF SONG.

She’s a lovely filly, said Robson Aguiar, She moves very nicely and did a very good breeze on Thursday. I think she’s a Classic looking filly. She’ll be trained by Dominic Ffrench Davis.

LOT 15
€430,000 for a son of Sea The Stars

Following the canters on the grass at Deauville-La Touques Racecourse on Thursday and a day of inspections on Friday, the sale began this morning. Among the first lots to go through the ring was a brother to Group winner ALPEN ROSE that was knocked down for €430,000. It was Anthony Stroud that had the final say for the colt from the family of 1000 Guineas (Gr.1) heroine SLEEPYTIME, consigned by Bloodstock Connection.
