Delta Work's brother ELWOOD bought by same connections for €170K

Gordon Elliott's charges carrying the Gigginstown House Stud colours include DELTA WORK , the winner of the Gr.3 Pertemps Final Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham and runner-up in the Gr.1 Irish Daily Mirror Novice Hurdle at Punchestown last month. The Co. Meath trainer is set to receive delivery of his year-younger half-brother, ELWOOD, after Margaret O'Toole signed the docket at €170,000 for the son of Martaline. Offered by his trainer Emmanuel Clayeux, who also used to train Delta Work, the four-year-old opened his account over hurdles at Moulins, April 29.

Eddie and Gordon already have his half-brother who is turning into a top-class horse, and while this one is a little more backward he is also very promising. We were down at Emmanuel Clayeux's yesterday and liked him a lot.

HIGHEST SUN commands €125K from Joffret Huet

Trained by Jean-Luc Guillochon, HIGHEST SUN boasted two wins for his last two starts, respectively on the flat on Pornichet's all-weather track back in February then over hurdles at Chateaubriant mid-April, his first outing over jumps. This athletic son of Sunday Break went the way of agent Joffret Huet, who explained:

I can't name my client but he is headed to the UK. I was at Chateaubriant the other day and liked the style of his victory. He is also a winner on the flat and has a great physical so he ticked a lot of boxes according to me.

He is a gorgeous stamp of a horse who won very well on his sole start. I came to see him three weeks ago and was very impressed by him, then Gordon and Eddie saw him this morning and instantly fell in love with him. We think he can develop into a very good horse.

LOT 3
€180K CARIBEAN BOY Seven Barrows-bound

François-Marie Cottin's CARIBEAN BOY is set to cross the Channel and head to Nicky Henderson's yard after selling to Highflyer Bloodstock for €180,000. The son of Myboycharlie from the family of top-class stayers CANDARLIYA and CANESSAR ran 2nd in the L. Prix de Marsan last time out, only finding LOU BUCK'S too good. The latter ran a good 4th in the Gr.1 Prix Alain du Breil earlier this afternoon.

He looks a lovely, big chasing horse who will be aimed at the novice races over fences. He's been bought for a client of Nicky Henderson's. His form was franked this afternoon with Lou Buck's running very well in the Group 1 and I hope he continues to improve.
