LOT 157
Filly of Medaglie d'Oro commands €290k from Justin Casse

Daughter of proven Darley stallion Medaglia d'Oro was purchased by Justin Casse who last year acquired WAR OF WILL who landed two groups in USA and is heading to Belmont Stakes after his unfourtounate episode in Kentucky Derby.

Offered by Mocklershill, she is fifth product of ROMAN MISTRESS full sister to ANDROMEDA'S HERO and SUPERFLY both Gr.1 winners stallions.

She will go into training with Mark. We had a lot of luck with the fillies out of Medaglia. I think she can go in turf. She has a lovely pedigree. Willie Brown has been high on her, which is great.

LOT 151
€700,000 Lope De Vega colt to new client of David Simcock's

Newmarket trainer David Simcock, bidding alongside Jamie Spencer, had to wait until the final half hour of trade to take a horse home, but it came in the shape of a €700,000 Lope De Vega colt from Grove Stud. He is out of the Group-winning juvenile QUAD'S MELODY, who has already produced the Gr.1 Sussex Stakes scorer HERES COME WHEN.

We have been trying several times at other sales and today so it is nice to finally get our hands on a horse, said Simcock. This horse is a lovely athlete by a proven sire and out of a proven broodmare. He is the first one I have bought for a new client.

LOT 134
Kerri Radcliffe bags €575,000 No Nay Never filly for Lady Aurelia partners

A protracted bidding battle took place for lot 134, a daughter of No Nay Never from the draft of Willie Browne's Mocklershill, and Kerri Radcliffe had to shell out €575,000 to see off the opposition. The bay, who hails from the family of  Gr.1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner WUHEIDA, turned many heads in her breeze.

I have bought her for Peter Leidel and George Bolton, who were both into LADY AURELIA [a daughter of No Nay Never's sire Scat Daddy], so this filly has a bit of pressure on her shoulders, Radcliffe joked. She will go to a new trainer in Joseph O'Brien. We loved her breeze and she is obviously by a very hot sire. I had seen her few times in Ireland and she has developed exactly as I thought she would.

Neil Drysdale to train €300,000 Exceed And Excel filly

She is a gorgeous mover with a great balance, commented Dugan. We hope she continues to do as well in proper races, but physically she really was the best filly in the sale to me, and she also has the pedigree. She will be trained by my husband Neil who has a long relationship with Coolmore.

Having been outbid on Mocklershill's Sea The Stars filly, Jamie McCalmont and Ralph Beckett were back at it for a daughter of No Nay Never from the family of dual Group 1 winner RECOLETOS, which they ultimately secured for €500,000.

She is for a new client who is new to the business and is setting up a long term breeding operation under the name Westerberg, said McCalmont. Ralph will train her. We love No Nay Never. She did a great breeze and vetted well, we were very taken by her.

The filly offered by Jim McCartan's Gaybrook Lodge Stud provided a handsome return, having been bought for €80,000 at last year's August Yearling Sale.

A Muhaarar half-sister to Gr.1 winning flyer SIGNS OF BLESSING offered from Brendan Holland's Grove Stud was the pick of Stuart Boman of Blandford Bloodstock, who signed the docket at €280,000.

She is for Larry Young's Speriamo Bloodstock, he expressed. We bought CLEARLY in this ring last December and she ran 3rd in a Group 2 on her Australian debut last week. He is also in AXANA who will be favourite for the German Guineas. This filly is all about next year for me. She is quite tall, galopped out very strongly and is was prepared by the best consignor in my view. She will probably go to Andreas Wohler because of the connection with Axana.
